Thank your State Senator for Advancing Towards Clean Energy
The Massachusetts State Senate recently passed a slate of climate bills that set five-year targets for greenhouse gas reductions, establish a climate protection committee to keep our state on track to reach those goals, and give the Department of Public Utilities new marching orders to make climate impacts and economic justifications primary considerations when reviewing gas infrastructure expansion proposals. While these bills still require House approval and the Governor's signature, this marks a welcome first step in getting our state to take action in moving away from fossil fuels and toward clean energy.
Please join us in thanking the Senate leadership and your local state Senator for advancing this legislation. It is important for them to get positive feedback for standing up on such a vital issue.
